Dr. BSV Raju completed the certification course from United States Medical License Examination (USMLE) in 1998. He completed Spine Fellowship from Wayne State University, Detroit, USA, in 2002. Later, in 2003, he completed the Spine & Peripheral Nerve Fellowship from Stanford University USA. He has been widely recognized for his achievements in spine surgery.  

He pioneered minimally invasive spine surgery like percutaneous spine surgery, percutaneous spinal fixation, and percutaneous endoscopic discectomy.
