Heart failure occurs when the heart cannot pump blood adequately or cannot fill the blood efficiently. Symptoms can range from chest pain, breathlessness, tiredness, swollen legs, and a rapid heart rate. Still, they often can be confusing and need a medical diagnosis. Patients of congestive heart failure may require medications, pacemakers, defibrillators, or coronary bypass surgery, depending upon the severity of the disease.
