Sepsis

Sepsis happens when an infection gets complicated into a life-threatening condition. When chemicals are released in the bloodstream that is supposed to tackle infection but instead causes widespread inflammation throughout the body, sepsis occurs. This causes a downward spiral of most vital organs, causing them to fail & resulting in shock or even death.

Symptoms: Fever, rapid heartbeat, breathlessness, inability to speak or see clearly, and confused thoughts.
