Head and neck surgery

Otolaryngologists (ENT surgeons) perform head and neck surgery like sinus surgery, tympanic membrane repair, thyroidectomy. Tumors of the larynx or oropharynx are removed through the mouth by these surgeons using transoral microsurgery. The surgeon examines the lesion or tissue under a microscope before removing it.
It usually takes between 4 and 6 weeks, and full recovery often takes between 2 and 3 months after head and neck surgery.
