Percutaneous spinal fixation
A percutaneous spinal fixation surgery is done in cases of damage or defects present in the spine. For example, spinal injury, scoliosis, bend, or curved spine. Surgeons can now place pedicle, iliac screw, and facet screw anywhere along the spine using an endoscope from a small hole incision instead of open surgery.
Benefits:
- Less muscular injury
- Fewer post-op complications
