Intestinal ischemia is a condition in which the blood supply to the intestines is reduced. This can occur due to a variety of factors including, but not limited to, trauma, thrombosis, embolism, and hypotension. It is marked by abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, vomiting, a feeling of fullness, and loss of appetite. In severe cases, the patient may experience bloody stools or diarrhea.
