Overview
The aim of the Academic department is to provide quality health care training to professionals to obtain high national and international standards in patient care and also encourage them to become future health care leaders with innovative ideas, compassion and empathy. We encourage all our health care professionals to achieve clinical and service excellence in patient care, research, education, and social responsibility. The Academic department is responsible for holding various CMEs called “Aster Insight” every week, in which all healthcare professionals participate. The “ Aster ePulse” is an e-journal published monthly. There are regular case presentations, clinico pathological conferences, journal clubs and Quality Improvement Projects.

Fellowship programs contribute to development of individual fellows with intensive training, in-depth research and analysis of a particular area.
Internal Medicine Training programme in Aster Medcity is a new partnership between the London, Edinburgh and Glasgow Colleges of Physicians in the UK and Aster Medcity. Physician training of young graduate doctors will be delivered to the same standard as in the UK, undertaking the same UK curriculum and assessments. There is undoubtedly a need for physicians with the ability to investigate, treat and diagnose patients with acute and chronic medical symptoms, with the provision of high-quality review skills for inpatients and outpatients fulfilling the requirement of specialist-led continuity of care. This curriculum will provide physicians with these skills.
MRCOG training (UK) programme at Aster Medcity is a new partnership between the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK and Aster Medcity. This is equivalent to the Intermediate training (ST 3-5) in UK where you enter the training programme with 2 years’ experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ST 1-2). The trainees entering the programme will be using the RCOG training curricula and over a period of three years, they will be able to successfully complete the MRCOG exams and become a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

General Instructions
COURSE CERTIFICATE
For courses conducted by Aster Medcity:
This would be issued by the Academic Office on successful completion of the period of training. This shall bear the following signatures:
- Course/Program Director
- Chief of Medical Services
- Director, Academic Affairs
The certificate shall clearly mention the name of the course, period of training and the specialty.
STIPEND
As per rules of accrediting body and Aster Medcity.
ACCOMMODATION
Aster Medcity would provide accommodation for trainees in courses conducted by statutory bodies, if mandated by those bodies.
