Causes of Lip Pigmentation
The external factors that may cause lip pigmentation include toothpaste containing fluoride, cosmetics with parabens and sulfates and smoking while the internal factors include vitamin deficiencies (vitamin B12 and iron), genetic predisposition etc.

- Lip balm with SPF 15: Provides sun protection to prevent further pigmentation.
- Lip lightening agents: Products designed to reduce lip pigmentation.
- Chemical peels: Exfoliate the lip surface to improve pigmentation.
- Laser treatment: Targets pigmented areas for lightening.
- Lip fillers: Can be used to enhance lip appearance and potentially reduce pigmentation.
- Lip micropigmentation: A cosmetic tattooing technique to even out lip color.
