Introduction to EPIC Program

by Prof. Dr Satish Rudrappa

In this video, Prof. Dr Satish Rudrappa, Group Director – Aster International Institute of Neurosciences and Spine Care explains about a new program that has been started at Aster Whitefield for the public good, the greater good of the human being.

What is Epilepsy?

The program is related to epilepsy, which is a condition that affects the brain and causes seizures. The exact cause of epilepsy is unknown, but it is thought to be related to an imbalance of chemicals in the brain. Epilepsy can be treated with medication, surgery, or other therapies. The goal of treatment is to control seizures and improve the quality of life for people with epilepsy.

The Epilepsy Prevention and Integrated Care program

The EPIC program at Aster Whitefield provides comprehensive care for people with epilepsy, including medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and surgery. We also provide support services, such as counseling and education. The program is committed to helping people with epilepsy live full and productive lives. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality care, regardless of their ability to pay. We are proud to be able to offer the program to the public and believe that it is an important step in addressing the needs of people with epilepsy in India.

If you or someone you know has epilepsy, you are encouraged to contact the Department of Neurosciences at Aster Whitefield Hospital. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have and provide you with more information about the program.
