Junk food is typically calorie-dense and lacks essential nutrients. Excessive consumption can lead to weight gain with increased risk of diabetes, lipid problems , high blood pressure, obstructive sleep apnea, non alcoholic fatty liver disease , PCOS in girls.

Some tips to manage and prevent obesity:

Consult a Doctor: to rule out any underlying medical conditions.

  • Focus on Family Involvement
  • Promote Balanced Nutrition
  • Encourage regular meal and snack times , teach portion size
  • Limit Screen Time
  • Make Physical Activity Fun
  •  Limit Fast Food and Eating Out
  • Encourage Hydration
