Dr. Neehara Kesya Jacob

Dr. Neehara Kesya Jacob is a dedicated interventional physiatrist with a strong academic and professional background.She completed her MBBS at Government Medical College, Ernakulam, and further pursued an M.D. in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Kochi. During her three-year residency, she authored an article titled “3D printed splints to improve hand functions in spastic dystonia”, which was published in Neurology India (PubMed). Dr. Neehara showcased her research acumen by presenting papers at national and state IAPMR conferences. Her thesis on Prolotherapy in Myofascial pain syndrome was awarded the Best Thesis Award in 2023 at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. She has received training on MSK ultrasound-guided interventions from AIIMS, Nagpur. Her passion lies in traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, musculoskeletal pain and amputee rehabilitation. Her special interests are in performing interventions like nerve blocks, prolotherapy & botox injections.
