Dr. Sandeep Govindan Prasad, a Paediatric Radiologist expertise in paediatric neuro-radiology. Commencing his medical journey at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, he completed his MBBS degree and medical internship in 2017. Dr. Prasad's foray into Radiology unfolded in Calicut, Kerala, where his dedication and proficiency were exemplified by securing the 1st rank in the KUHS University examinations in 2021 during his residency.
Further cementing his skills, he pursued senior residencies in both Calicut and Ernakulum for six months, showcasing his commitment to comprehensive training. In 2021, Dr. Prasad achieved notable milestones by successfully clearing the secondary DNB examination conducted by the National Board and the FRCR (UK) examination in September 2022.

- Participated in an exchange programme with Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia for 1 month of elective training in upper GI surgery from 9 th Feb 2015 to 6th March 2015. This opportunity was extended to the top 10 meritorious students of KMC, Manipal and Mangalore based on their academic performance in 1st and 2nd MBBS university examinations.
- Awarded scholarship by Sir Rata Tata Trust for excellent academic performance in 1st MBBS university examination.
- 1st prize in paper presentation for the topic “ paediatric diffuse midline gliomas – A clinico-radiologic diagnosis “ during the ISPR midterm conference held at Varanasi in April 2023.
- 2nd prize in consultant category for oral paper titled “ Radiological features of paradoxical reactions in immunocompetent children with CNS Tuberculosis” – presented at ISPR annual conference, Pune in September 2023.
- Secured 2nd place in Kakarla Subbarao Gold Medal Competition for Best Paper presentation by a Postgraduate student in Radiology in 2020.
