Dr. Abishek Rajan is a distinguished Surgical Gastroenterologist with a stellar academic and professional track record. He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Calicut, where he emerged as the university topper and received several prestigious accolades, including the Dr. Sadasivan Pillai Award and Raman Ezhuthassan Memorial Gold Medal. Following this, he pursued his MS in General Surgery at Government Medical College, Kottayam, where he was recognized as the Best Outgoing Student. Dr. Rajan further advanced his expertise with a DNB in General Surgery and an M.Ch in Surgical Gastroenterology from SGPGIMS, Lucknow, earning distinction and receiving the TTS Young Scholar Award for his contributions to gastroenterology.
With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Rajan has worked in reputed institutions, including Aster MIMS, Calicut, and SGPGIMS, Lucknow, specializing in general surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and liver transplantation. He has also undertaken observerships at prominent centers like the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi, gaining hands-on exposure to live and deceased donor liver transplants. A passionate researcher, Dr. Rajan has presented papers at national and international conferences, including the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress. His work focuses on innovative techniques in gastrointestinal surgery, visceral artery aneurysms, and cyst-biliary communication.
