Dr. Mohan Ghantasala, a distinguished Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with over 35 years of comprehensive experience, is an esteemed Senior Consultant in this niche field. He attained his Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the All India Institute for Speech and Hearing, University of Mysore. A member of Indian Speech and Hearing Association as well as the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), Dr. Ghantasala stays current and abreast of the latest research and clinical practices at all times. His expertise particularly lies in Speech Processing Models, Aphasia, and Dysphagia. He holds the prestigious US Clinical Certification of CCC-SLP by ASHA.
Initially, Dr. Ghantasala's career saw him working in various governmental institutions and hospitals in India, including NIMS and NIMHANS. He later pursued a clinical fellowship in New York City, followed by six years of diverse clinical experience across the United States. His international exposure, particularly in Early Intervention and Adult Rehabilitation, greatly enriched his professional acumen. Upon returning to India, he served in the positions of Professor and Principal in leading Indian universities, spearheading extensive research on Rehabilitation Service Models in rural India. His career also includes a senior position within the California school of pediatrics system before returning to India to join Dr. BSV Raju’s Neurosciences Team at Aster Prime Hospital, Hyderabad, as a Senior Consultant.
Currently, Dr. Ghantasala is deeply invested in independent research on the Panini Model ( Most advanced speech processing model) for Speech-Language Processing at the Sanskrit Academy, Osmania University, Hyderabad. Through this research, he aims to enhance speech-language therapy for Aphasia patients. He also has a keen interest in Stuttering research and therapy.
