Dr. Rajeshwari M. is a distinguished Paediatric Nephrology specialist with a robust background in Paediatric care. Currently serving as Visiting Consultant at Aster RV, Bengaluru, her extensive educational journey began with an MBBS from JN Medical College, Belgaum, Karnataka, in 2004. Having completed her MD in Paediatrics in 2008, she excelled as a Senior Resident in Pediatrics at Kempegouda Institute of Child Health, Bengaluru, for two years. Dr. Rajeshwari's commitment to specialized care led her to obtain a DM in Paediatric Nephrology from St. John's Medical College Hospital, Bengaluru, in 2019. Dr. Rajeshwari's unwavering dedication and expertise make her an invaluable asset, ensuring exceptional care for young patients with kidney-related concerns at our hospital.
Dr. Rajeshwari M. possesses a rich and diverse clinical experience spanning 17 years, primarily focused on Paediatric care and Nephrology. She began her professional journey as an Assistant Professor in Paediatrics at MVJ Medical College and Research Hospital, Hoskote, Bangalore, in June 2010, before joining the esteemed Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health (IGICH) in August 2011.
Her tenure at IGICH started in the Department of Pediatrics and later transitioned into a specialized role as an Assistant Professor in Paediatric Nephrology from February 2020 onwards. At IGICH, Dr. Rajeshwari played a pivotal role in establishing and overseeing the Paediatric Nephrology unit, the only standalone unit dedicated exclusively to Paediatric renal care in the government sector in Karnataka. Her responsibilities included providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient services, including intensive care, exclusively tailored for children with renal diseases. Her commitment to patient care is evident through her regular consultations, attending Nephro- Urology and CKD/transplant clinics, and ensuring top-notch care for her patients.
In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Rajeshwari has been deeply involved in academia, serving as a faculty member for various programs. She actively contributed to the teaching and mentoring of undergraduate, MD, and DM students, imparting knowledge and practical skills in the diagnosis and management of Paediatric renal diseases. Her roles include faculty participation in the fellowship program in Paediatric Nephrology recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences since 2021, as well as coordinating and guiding postgraduate and fellowship programs in Paediatric nephrology. Furthermore, she takes charge of coordinating assessments for MD Paediatric postgraduates, fellows, and DNB students, ensuring the academic excellence of trainees under her supervision.
