Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in the world and also in urban India. Early detection is key because it increases the chances of cure and allows for breast conservation surgery, which is less invasive than a mastectomy. Some women with early detection may even avoid chemotherapy. 

Symptoms of Breast Cancer

The common symptoms of breast cancer are a lump in the breast, skin changes like redness or dimpling, or discharge from the nipple. If you have any of these symptoms, please see an oncologist so they can perform further tests.

Screening and Diagnosis

Annual screening tests, like mammograms and ultrasounds, are recommended to detect cancer early. Early detection allows for treatment with a higher chance of success. A trend of younger women, ages 30-35, developing breast cancer, and these cancers tend to be more aggressive.
