Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy or HIPEC Surgery, one of the most innovative methods in the field of cancer surgery, has been successfully completed on 100 patients at Aster MIMS, Calicut, a unit of leading healthcare group Aster DM Healthcare. Hyperexcitability is a relief for patients with peritoneal cancer and pseudo myxoma peritoneum, which are usually difficult to operate. The surgeries were led by Dr. Salim V.P, Senior Consultant Oncosurgeon, Aster MIMS, Calicut and Dr. Jem Kalathil, Senior Consultant- Surgical Oncology, Aster Medicity, Kochi along with a team of other surgeons and medical staff.
