Dr. Sandhya Rani, Senior Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Aster Women and Children Hospital, provides information on Hysterosalpingography (HSG) test. This video is in Telugu and provides a detailed explanation of the HSG test. It is a good resource for women who are trying to conceive and want to learn more about this test.

What is HSG test?

Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is an X-ray imaging test that can help your doctor see the inside of your uterus and fallopian tubes. It is a common test used to diagnose infertility.

Why is HSG done?

HSG is done to check for any blockage in your fallopian tubes, which can prevent sperm from reaching an egg. It can also be used to check for other problems in your uterus, such as polyps or fibroids. During an HSG, a thin, flexible tube is inserted into your vagina and cervix. A dye is then injected through the tube, which will show up on X-ray images.
HSG is a safe and effective test that can help diagnose infertility. It is also a relatively inexpensive test.
