The 2nd edition of the Aster International Emergency Medicine Conclave, EmerGenz- 2023, has officially begun. Taking place from June 16 to 18 at the Nihara Resort in Kochi, this prestigious event has attracted an astounding participation of over 1000 resource persons and doctors from the UK, USA, Qatar, and India. With nearly 60 topics related to Emergency Medicine being presented in the scientific sessions, the conclave promises to be a significant gathering for healthcare professionals.
The inaugural ceremony will be graced by the esteemed presence of Padma Shri Dr. Prakash Baba Amte, a renowned social worker from Maharashtra and recipient of the Magsaysay Award in 2008. In addition, the Aster EM (Emergency Medicine) Network will honor the memory of Dr. Vandana Das, expressing solidarity with healthcare professionals across India. This commemoration symbolizes the team’s united support for frontline workers in their noble endeavour to heal people.
EmerGenz-2023 aims to strengthen the foundation of knowledge in emergency medicine through case-based discussions and in-depth exploration of various symptomatology. The conference is particularly beneficial for medical professionals working in areas such as the ED, ICU, ambulances, or those managing their own departments and OPDs. The conclave will also feature competitions, oral presentations, and scenario-based discussions.

As part of EmerGenz-23, 12+ pre-conference workshops were organized in Aster Medcity, Nihara Resort, Kochi, PS Mission Hospital Maradu, MBMM Hospital Kothamangalam, and Modern Hospital Kodungalloor. These workshops aimed to enhance the skills of doctors and nurses in various aspects of emergency medicine, further contributing to the overall success of the conclave.
