Aster Medcity has successfully completed 250 robotic knee replacement surgeries. The Center for Excellence in Orthopedics and Rheumatology department has achieved this feat within a year. The gathering of those who have recovered from this surgery at the Aster Medcity campus was a unique experience. The program was inaugurated by Loknath Behra, MD of Kochi Metro Rail Limited and former DGP of the state.
Those gathered in the program participated in various competitions. Along with decathlon, competitions like golf and darts were organized. The ramp walk by knee survivors and their doctors was a special sight.
The three-day Ortho Robot Expo also concluded in connection with the event. State-of-the-art robots used in knee replacement surgery were a highlight of the exhibition. The expo provided a lot of new knowledge to the medical professionals and the general public.
