On 1st October, Aster Hospital, Calicut, organized a memorable Volunteering Boating Day for senior citizens, bringing joy and a refreshing experience to the elderly members of our community. The event, held at the scenic Akalapuzha, saw enthusiastic participation from both volunteers and senior citizens, creating an atmosphere of warmth and companionship.
The day started with the volunteers welcoming the elderly at Aster Hospital, where they were then escorted to the boating location. The serene boat ride was the highlight of the day, offering the senior citizens a peaceful escape from their daily routines. Laughter, stories, and engaging conversations filled the air as volunteers ensured the comfort and safety of every participant.
In addition to the boating experience, the event featured light refreshments and relaxing music, which added to the cheerful mood.
