To bring a standardized pattern for the consultant interactions, we have conducted a consultant BLS interactive session. Basic life support is a very important skill and every doctor should know it. In the malls, at home, and anywhere outside the hospital, we may see emergency situations like someone having a cardiac arrest, which should be addressed immediately.
If a patient has a sudden choking or foreign body in the airway, with immediate support we can save them. Taking this into consideration, we at Aster Prime Hospital conducted a BLS drive to all the Doctors. Around 15 Senior Doctors participated in the program. Going forward we want to do this Awareness program to the public as seventy percent of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest occurs in the home.
